Japanese name:令和8年度 尾張旭市総合防災訓練
📅 Sun, Oct 25, 2026
📍 Owariasahi, Aichi
About this event
In Owariasahi City, a comprehensive disaster prevention drill is conducted once a year at an elementary school in the city in preparation for the Nankai Trough Earthquake. Under the theme "Let's Learn Disaster Prevention Together, Children and Adults!", fun-to-learn demonstrations, hands-on experiences, and exhibits are prepared so that everyone from children to adults can take an interest in disaster prevention. It is an opportunity to think together about disaster prevention and disaster mitigation initiatives to protect yourself, your family, and your community in the event of a disaster. The drill contents are diverse, including a stamp rally exclusive to elementary school students and younger (commemorative gifts for the first 200 people), VR experiences (earthquake and sediment disaster), disaster response vehicle exhibits, initial firefighting training/smoke tunnel passage experience, emergency food cooking drill, earthquake simulation vehicle experience, and pet evacuation drill. The event will proceed in light rain, but may be scaled down in case of rain. If scaled down, the contents of the drills will be updated as needed.
