Held around Cape Irago in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, "2026 Triathlon Irago" is an endurance race combining swim, bike, and run legs continuously. Held every September since 1987, it draws many invited athletes, including professionals. A key feature of this race is its running course with intense ups and downs. The breathtaking view opening up beyond the challenging hills is sure to leave a lasting impression on participants. The event is also designed for spectators to enjoy, with viewing spots set up along the swim, bike, and run courses so fans can cheer on the competitors up close. The race takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with athlete registration and the opening ceremony held the preceding day, Saturday, September 5. There are 3 categories (Type A, Type B, and Type C), each with different entry fees. Registration is online only, open from 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 28 until Sunday, May 10.
