About this event

This is a long-awaited revival performance at Nagakute Cultural Center by Theater Troupe Sakanade, recipient of the Nagoya City Arts Festival Special Award. The play depicts an irreconcilable dialogue drama unfolding between a school brass band striving to reach the national competition and their new faculty advisor who has no prior experience with wind music. Tension rises as the club members' passion to 'win competitions and advance to nationals' clashes with the advisor's desire to prioritize 'everyone having fun playing together.' The highlight is the conflict and dialogue showing how these characters, each holding onto non-negotiable convictions, navigate their differences to create a single cohesive performance. Through the theme of extracurricular school club activities, the work vividly portrays the collision of diverse values in modern society and the struggles of people trying to overcome them.
