About this event

This event visualizes the values of "creating (construction and technology)," "storing (water and resources)," and "connecting (regions and river basins)" associated with the construction of Shitara Dam. Through interaction with the construction industry, participants can understand Shitara Dam itself, the supporting technologies, and the role of the region, allowing them to experience the future of Shitara Town walking hand in hand with the dam. Utilizing the Komatsu Tunnel (under construction: not yet open to traffic) on the rerouted Prefectural Road Shitara-Neba Line and the surrounding open-air area as the venue, booths will be set up for food and drinks (local specialties, cafes, kitchen cars, etc.), markets, esports, art exhibits, disaster prevention education, AR/VR experiences, and drones. Holding the event inside the tunnel provides a precious opportunity for a special experience in an area normally closed to the public. Aimed at local residents, students, and private companies, it seeks to rediscover the charm of Shitara Town and contribute to regional revitalization.
