Japanese name:第33回 亀山市関宿納涼花火大会

About this event
A summer tradition in Kameyama City, the 33rd Kameyama City Seki-juku Cool Evening Fireworks Festival will be held on the Suzuka River dry riverbed on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The venue opens at 5:00 PM, with opening ceremonies and the start of fireworks scheduled for 7:15 PM. In case of rain, it will be postponed to subsequent dates: Sunday the 23rd, Saturday the 29th, or Sunday the 30th. The venue is the west ground of Kameyama Fire Department Seki Branch, which has convenient access, being about a 10-minute walk from JR Kansai Main Line Seki Station. This year's festival will also feature a collaboration with live music performed by the Kameyama High School Brass Band, brilliantly illuminating the Seki-juku night sky with light and music. To monitor attendance and limit crowd numbers, a full ticketing system has been introduced, with an admission fee of 1,500 yen (free for children under elementary school age). Tickets must be purchased via the dedicated ticket sales website "teket", which requires member registration. The ticket sales period is from Monday, June 1 to Tuesday (public holiday), August 11, but sales will end once the limited 3,500 tickets are sold out. Special JR extra trains are scheduled to run on the day, and restricted access zones will be set up around the venue. The fireworks festival will offer an emotionally moving, one-night-only experience woven from light and music, marking a grand event that decorates the summer night sky.
