Let's Play in Inabe!

About this event

'Let's Play in Inabe!' is a special 2-day event where everyone from children to adults can play to their heart's content in Inabe City. Building on the experience of past events such as 'Play with the River Day' and 'Mokuiku Caravan in Inabe', this year will feature an expanded lineup of local craft workshops and food. It provides an opportunity to interact with familiar nature and the town's charms, and to think and play independently. At the venue, various hands-on experiences will be held, such as 'Mokuiku Caravan in Inabe' where you can freely play with wooden toys mainly made from about 300 types of domestic wood, as well as many workshops to make crafts while feeling the warmth of wood. For example, you can enjoy a wide variety of activities including 'Kumunda,' a wooden jungle gym assembled without nails or screws; 'Wooden Pom-Pom Ball Making' using wood shavings; 'Mokumoku Badges' made by combining wooden pieces; a 'Wooden Stamp Workshop' using bengala dye; a 'Green Woodwork WS' to make a wooden spatula from green wood; 'Tree Nut Object Making' using nuts and twigs; and 'Make and Play a Mini Cajon' crafted from thinned wood. In addition, at the 'Play with the River Day' at the Uga River, both children and adults can rediscover ways to enjoy the river together. At the food market, local restaurants with a focus on quality will gather, allowing you to savor the flavors of Inabe. Corporate booth workshops also provide an opportunity to learn about the initiatives of local companies and organizations.
