On Sunday, November 29, 2026, "The 13th Ise-Shima Cycling Festival 2026" will be held set against the backdrop of Ise-Shima's beautiful coastline and rich nature. This cycling event can be enjoyed by a wide range of participants, from families to veteran cyclists. This year's theme is "With every pedal stroke, you'll love Ise-Shima more," offering three courses designed to let riders fully experience the charms of Ise-Shima. Riders can enjoy unique Ise-Shima scenery while cycling scenic routes overlooking the Pacific Ocean and beautiful waters shaped by the rias coastline. Along the course, there are highlights such as Kirigaki Observatory with its stunning view of Ago Bay, Anori Shrine which offers cycling amulets, and Anorisaki Lighthouse, a premier scenic spot in Shima, as well as a special opportunity to cycle inside Shima Spain Village exclusively on this day. Aid stations will feature local Ise-Shima gourmet specialties such as Ise udon, tekone-zushi, appa shellfish, katsuo (bonito) burger, and sawa-mochi / akoya-mochi rice cakes. Yuri Hirano and Amu Ai are scheduled to appear as guest riders. All participants will receive a gift of Ise-Shima's specialty "Aosa Dressing," and a raffle will be held after reaching the finish line with cycle jerseys, cycling goods, and local specialties prepared as prizes.
