First Nature School in UNESCO Eco Park Odai Town

About this event

A 2-day, 1-night parent-and-child camp held at Osugidani Nature School, surrounded by the rich forests and clear streams of Odai Town, Mie Prefecture. The program allows participants to experience and learn from nature using all five senses while taking on many "first-time" challenges. It is perfect for summer vacation independent projects and a special two days for deepening parent-child bonds. A wide variety of activities in magnificent nature are prepared, including river play, searching for aquatic life, cooking with natural ingredients, fire-starting practice, heating a Goemon bath, a campfire and stargazing session, a soil workshop, insect bed making, and cherry-wood spoon carving. Participation is free of charge.
