About this event
'RUN TOMO Tamaki 2026' is an event aimed at raising dementia awareness. People with dementia, their families, and supporters come together to pass a sash (tasuki) while walking or running and sharing their thoughts. The course is set to start at the Tamaki Town Health and Welfare Center, pass by Tamaki Town Office, Tamaki no Tsudoiba Kanau, Tamaki-kan Serviced Housing for the Elderly, Mahoro Serviced Housing for the Elderly, Care Heights Tamaki Geriatric Health Services Facility, Genkosha, and JA Ise Tamaki Branch, before finishing back at the Tamaki Town Health and Welfare Center. The participation fee is 100 yen (donation), or 1,500 yen (including the 100 yen donation) if purchasing a T-shirt. Participants are being recruited for the walking course, running course, and as cheerers.
