Summer Stargazing Event

About this event

A summer stargazing event held at the Miejima Observatory on the Ugura Peninsula in Minamiise Town. Eligible for elementary school students and above (elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian), up to 20 participants are recruited from both inside and outside the town. The participation fee is 1,000 yen per person, payable in cash on the day. The meeting place is the ground of Nantohigashi Elementary School; please arrive by 18:30 (reception begins at 18:15). After gathering, participants will travel to the site via jumbo taxi. In case of rain or if stars are not visible, the event will be cancelled, and registered phone numbers will be contacted. Participants will also receive a gift of Minamiise specialty products.
