Minamiise Town Fishing Event: Taimii's Gomoku Fishing! & JAF Bike Meeting in Minamiise Town

About this event

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the "Minamiise Town Fishing Event: Taimii's Gomoku Fishing!" will be held in Minamiise Town, Mie Prefecture. At this event, participants can enjoy gomoku (multi-species) fishing in the sea of Minamiise, home to a wide variety of fish, alongside "Taimii," the mascot character promoting Minamiise Town's local specialty products. Specialty items and original goods unique to Minamiise Town are prepared as prizes depending on the number of fish species caught. All participants will receive an all-you-can-stuff mikan orange giveaway, those who catch 3 kinds of fish will receive a 300 yen discount ticket usable at local specialty shops, and those who catch 5 kinds of fish will receive original goods featuring Taimii and the Umi Tsuri GO mascot character "Nyago." The event runs from 9:00 to 13:00, with registration opening at 8:30. The participation fee is 500 yen, open to elementary school students and older. Rental life jackets and full fishing tackle sets (with or without bait) are also available. In addition, the "JAF Bike Meeting in Minamiise Town" will be held concurrently on the same day, featuring complimentary sea bream sashimi served to JAF members. The venue is Tasoura, Minamiise Town, Watarai District, Mie Prefecture. Reservations must be made via the UMIGO app.
