Autumn Hikiyama Procession

Held in Nagahama City, the 'Autumn Hikiyama Procession' is an event in which 4 Hikiyama floats that will appear in the festival the spring after next are stored into the exhibition room, replacing the 4 stored Hikiyama floats that will appear in the festival next spring. A total of 8 beautifully decorated Hikiyama floats parade through the town accompanied by the sound of festival music (ohayashi) and chants from townspeople. The event is held at the Nagahama Hikiyama Museum and surrounding roads, located a 7-minute walk from JR Hokuriku Main Line Nagahama Station and about 10 minutes from Nagahama IC. The event hours are 9:00 to 16:00. The organizer is the Nagahama Hikiyama Culture Foundation.
