Held in Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture, the 'Sakira Junior Orchestra 17th Subscription Concert' features conductor Tatsuya Shimono and trumpet player Hayato Kodama performing alongside the Sakira Junior Orchestra. Formed in 2010 from its parent organization, the 'Sakira Junior Orchestra Academy' established in 2005, the Sakira Junior Orchestra includes members ranging from elementary school beginners to high school students (with university students as orchestra friends), practicing 2 to 3 times a month. In addition to ensemble playing, they incorporate sheet music study and vocal lessons, aiming to foster both a 'feeling heart' and 'expressive technique.' The concert program includes the Overture to Mozart's opera 'La clemenza di Tito', Hummel's Trumpet Concerto in E major, and Brahms's Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73. Audiences can experience the fresh sound of children growing significantly through music under the guidance of experienced instructors. Doors open at 13:15 with the performance starting at 14:00, and pre-performance acts by Academy students as well as commentary by conductor Tatsuya Shimono will take place before the start. All seats are reserved, with tickets priced at 2,000 yen for general admission, 1,000 yen for high school students and younger, and 1,800 yen for Sakira Tomo-no-Kai members. Admission is open to ages 4 and up, and childcare services are available.
