About this event

The exhibition 'Feel Ceramic Boards! - Art and Culture Connected by Ceramics -' will be held at the Shigaraki Traditional Industry Hall in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. In this exhibition, 15 masterpieces carefully selected from the ceramic board masterpieces displayed at the Otsuka Museum of Art—including Vermeer's 'The Milkmaid' and 'Woman Reading a Letter', Leonardo da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa', and Botticelli's 'The Birth of Venus'—will be replicated, preserved, and exhibited as ceramic art from domestic and international cultural properties and artworks. Visitors can appreciate the unique appeal of ceramic board masterpieces not only by viewing the works, but also by touching them and taking photos. During the exhibition period, related events will also be held concurrently, including gallery talks, a special exhibition at Shigaraki Station on the Shigaraki Kohgen Railway, and a public opening & tour of the Otsuka Ohmi Ceramics Shigaraki Factory showroom. It will be a valuable opportunity to experience world art and culture.
