About this event
Organized by the Kyoto Tea Industry Association, the "2026 Uji Tea Festival Utensils Exhibition" displays valuable utensils actually used in the "Uji Tea Festival", a traditional event held annually on the first Sunday of October around the Uji Bridge. In addition to being able to view up close tea utensils that are not normally seen, visitors can enjoy video screenings capturing scenes of the festival day and an experience of grinding "tencha", the raw material for matcha, using a stone mortar. It is a valuable opportunity to come into direct contact with the history and culture of Uji tea.
