The autumn festival to enjoy with your beloved dog, 'Kameoka Wanwan Festa 2026,' will be held at Kameoka Hozugawa Park in Kyoto. Following its first event last year, which attracted over 2,000 dog lovers, this event has been powered up even further. In addition to popular programs such as guest stage shows, a market, and dog photo sessions, participatory programs like 'Japan's First?! Dog Bread-Eating Race' and 'Dog Parade' are abundant. Many educational exhibits are also prepared, including health and training consultations as well as guide dog and police dog demonstrations. At the nature-rich venue, a dog market where you can enjoy shopping with your dog and a market where you can taste the rich culinary charms of Kyoto Tamba will be held. Participatory programs with your dog include the Dog Bread-Eating Race, KAMEOKA CUP Dog Sprint Tournament, Dog Fashion Show, Dog Photo Session, and Dog Parade. Stage events will feature guests such as Maya Ayahane and Kiyoko Taniguchi, alongside guide dog demonstrations and dog dance shows. In the learning corner, police dog demonstrations, pet dog health consultations, panel displays of rescue dogs and cats, charity goods sales by vocational school students, and a local venison jerky sale by Higashibetsuin Elementary School pupils will be held. In the workshop, visitors can enjoy making original straps. A dog run (paid) is also set up within the venue, and a stamp rally program will be held. The three days from October 22 to 24, including the 'Kameoka Wanwan Festa,' will unfold as 'Wanwan Days,' welcoming visitors accompanied by their dogs.
