"Joyo Autumn Fireworks 2026," held in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, is a magnificent fireworks display that illuminates the autumn night sky. The venue is Kyoto Prefectural Kizugawa Athletic Park (Joyo Gorigori-no-Oka), and the event will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Gates open at 14:00, and until the fireworks begin, a variety of food trucks and stalls will operate as a food festival, allowing visitors to enjoy gourmet dining while waiting for the evening. The fireworks display is scheduled to start at 19:00 for approximately 40 minutes, dyeing the night sky in colorful light through a collaboration with live dance, Japanese taiko drums, and Tsugaru shamisen performances. Launched over approximately 40 minutes in the crisp autumn air, the fireworks are full of impact, creating an unforgettable, special moment with their fusion of light and sound. Food stalls will also be present, allowing guests to enjoy street food while enveloped in an extraordinary atmosphere. A ticket is required for entry into the venue, and no same-day tickets will be sold. The nearest station is Terada Station on the Kintetsu Line, from which free shuttle buses will operate (entry ticket required). It is also a 5-minute walk from JR Nagaike Station. As there is no parking at the venue, the use of public transportation is recommended. Paid viewing seats are also available, and tickets are required for elementary school students and older. Tickets can be purchased for 2,000 yen at the Joyo City Tourism Association or for 2,500 yen via Ticket Pia. Ticket sales begin on Saturday, July 25. Please check the official website for details.
