About this event
This is a special opening event where visitors can view the usually undisclosed statue of Kichijoten. Joruri-ji is an ancient temple surrounded by beautiful nature, offering a quiet space to face the Buddhist statue on this occasion. Visiting alongside the autumn foliage will provide an even deeper sense of wonder. The event runs from October 1 to November 30, 2026, with viewing hours from 9:00 to 17:00 (admission to the Main Hall ends at 16:30). Access is via the Kizugawa City Community Bus from Kamo Station on the JR Yamatoji Line, getting off at Joruri-ji Mae.
