Japanese name:アサヒグループ大山崎山荘美術館の紅葉
📅 Sat, Nov 21, 2026 - Mon, Dec 7, 2026
About this event
At Asahi Group Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art (Asahi Beer Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art), maples, ginkgoes, and Enkianthus perulatus planted in the garden take on beautiful colors, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery woven by the autumn leaves, the garden, the main building, the rest house, and the Rokan-do tunnel. Sasanqua camellias and Japanese anemones are also planted and may be viewed along with the autumn leaves. The museum's main building was constructed in the early Taisho period and features an interior design based on the Jacobean style. Underground is the underground gallery designed by Tadao Ando, called the 'Jewel Box Underground.' Rokan-do is a brick tunnel built in the early Showa period, and the rest house is a renovated former garage. The three-story pagoda of the adjacent Hoshaku-ji Temple can also be seen. The best time to view the autumn leaves is usually from mid-November to early December, but this may vary depending on the weather conditions of the year.
