A summer tradition that colors Ine Bay, the Ine Fireworks feature colorful fireworks launched into the sky, beautifully illuminating the Funaya (boathouse) townscape. Fireworks launched right from the center of Ine Bay draw cheers from spectators watching from the boathouses. On the day of the event, food stalls serving dishes made with local ingredients will be open to satisfy your appetite. In addition, visitors can enjoy movie screenings on an offshore screen and 'Funaya no Machi Naminarie' (light-up event). Because Ine Bay is a rias coast surrounded by steep mountains, the sound of the fireworks echoes off the mountains, providing an impressive, powerful experience. As parking lots usually fill up before the fireworks start and roads leading to the venue may be closed, arriving with plenty of time to spare is recommended.
