COMMONs2026 "World Ennichi"

About this event

The future creation celebration "COMMONs2026" will be held in Nakanoshima, Osaka. At its core is "COMMONs Festival: World Ennichi", held at Nakanoshima Park from October 10 to 12, 2026. One year after the close of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, this event aims to connect the ties forged at the Expo to the future. It will be an outdoor event where food stalls modeled after pavilions gather in one place, merging global food and culture with the Japanese traditional festival market (ennichi). Plans include stalls offering global cuisine and long tables for everyone to share meals together. In addition, the music and art that colored the Expo venue will gather in Osaka once again, showcasing DJing, soundscapes, dance, performing arts, and works by artists and creators involved in the Expo, including Co-MYAKU'25. A new festival combining yagura scaffolding and Bon Odori dancing with world music is also envisioned, aiming for an admission-free festival that anyone can join. This "World Ennichi" aims for continuous holding beyond 2026, with the organizers' wish being to eventually return this festival to the grounds of Yumeshima. Furthermore, this event upholds the concept of "a festival made free by everyone", aiming for a mechanism where everyone can participate through support.
