FactorISM 2026: Cultural Festival of Successors

Under the slogan "Factories are the town's entertainment," this cultural-festival-style event opens manufacturing sites to the public, allowing visitors to experience and feel the craftsmanship that supports people's lives and fascinates the world. The theme is "Resonance (Hibiku)," aiming to connect "experience" to "empathy" and then to "ripple effects." It expresses how raw energy received through all five senses resonates directly with the heart, spreading from person to person and town to town. The word "Hibiku" encapsulates the process where the passion emanating from local factories creates a large ripple that engages the entire region. A total of 100 companies are scheduled to participate, offering "factory tours" and "workshops" where visitors can experience craftsmen's skills, "talk events" inviting guests from across the country, and "satellite venues" where local food can be enjoyed. Visitors will be moved by factories they had never set foot in before, creating an opportunity to look upon the craftspeople who make things with admiration. Learning about the frontlines of manufacturing serves as a trigger for creating new value, truly making it entertainment. By showcasing the everyday work of factory personnel, everyone works together to create four days where townspeople find manufacturing fascinating. The event aims to be one where those involved in manufacturing enjoy themselves as if at a cultural festival, and visitors can enjoy watching.
