'Relay For Life Japan Ashiya 2026' is a charity event aiming to conquer cancer, where cancer patients, their families, and supporters take turns walking overnight to share courage and hope. Reaching its 20th edition in 2026, under the theme 'In this place, I began to walk. In this place, I reunite with you.', the event provides a place where cancer survivors, families, bereaved families, and supporters gather without barriers to embrace, celebrate, honor, pray, and face current emotions. Diverse programs are scheduled at the venue, including the Relay Walk, Candle Run, Luminaria bag making, hair donation program, Candlelight Ceremony, Starry Sky Counseling Room, and Starry Sky Classroom. In particular, lectures on cancer treatment and diet/nutrition, as well as cancer treatment/prevo-prevention and exercise/fitness building, will serve as beneficial information sources for participants. Furthermore, opportunities to deepen interaction among participants are provided, such as playing Molkky on the venue's main street at night. The event is supported through various forms of involvement, including participation, cooperation, donations, and volunteering, with gathered sponsorship funds and donations directed toward cancer research support, training support for young specialists, operating telephone helplines, and cancer screening awareness activities.
