About this event
Organized by the Itami City Tourism and Local Products Association, the live reading event "Autumn Haruki Murakami Festival" offers an opportunity to connect with the world of Haruki Murakami, one of modern Japan's leading novelists. Having recently released his new work "The Tale of KAHO," Haruki Murakami hails from Nishinomiya City and Ashiya City in Hyogo Prefecture and has authored many works set in the Hanshin area. In this event, a story from Haruki Murakami's short story collection "After the Quake" (Kami no Kodomo-tachi wa Mina Odoru) will be read aloud. Furthermore, a discussion between Haruki Murakami fans and Yukiko Mitsuzumi, owner of the secondhand bookstore Mitsuzumi Shobo, is also planned, providing a valuable opportunity to delve into the depths of the work.
