Okhotsk Abashiri Marathon 2026

Okhotsk Abashiri Marathon 2026 is a marathon event held in Abashiri City, Hokkaido. Starting in front of the nation-famous main gate of Abashiri Prison, the distinctive course runs past scenic Cape Notoro and finishes at Lake Omagari Lakeside Park blooming with sunflowers. In addition to the full marathon, 5 km and 3 km categories are available, welcoming a wide range of participants. Participation prizes include running socks and running gloves, while full marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal and finisher towel. Aid stations will provide freshwater clam soup, Japanese beef, and more, with food and drink hospitality also planned at the finish venue. Tetsuhiko Kin and Eric Wainaina will be invited as guest runners.
