About this event

The Tamba Takeda Festival is a traditional autumn festival held in the Takeda district of Ichijima-cho, Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture. Portable shrines (mikoshi) from six shrines in the Takeda district of Ichijima-cho gather at Ichinomiyajinja Shrine, where the "miyairi" (entering the shrine grounds) is performed to pray for bountiful crops. Also known as the "Rokusya Festival" (Six Shrine Festival), the heroic entrance of the six mikoshi has become synonymous with the Takeda district autumn festival. On the eve of the festival (Yoimiya), a live performance by the a cappella group "BLESS" and a grand lottery with luxurious prizes will be held. On the main festival day (Hongu), diverse events take place, including the gathering of the six mikoshi, the yakko parade, mikoshi miyairi, interactive mikoshi carrying, offerings by children in ceremonial attire (chigo kensen), children's mikoshi and games, Japanese drum (wadaiko) performances, and the six-shrine dedicatory drumming, before concluding with the return of the deities (kangyosai). In particular, the heroic shrine entry of the mikoshi is a breathtaking highlight.
