Kakashi (Scarecrow) Festival

About this event

Against the backdrop of rice fields ripening with early ears of grain in the Kitaoku area of Ichijimacho, Tamba City, approximately 50 unique scarecrows stand lined up. In the tranquil satoyama landscape, these unique scarecrows warmly welcome visitors. A scarecrow contest (voting system) and a scarecrow photo contest will also be held. On the final day, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities including the scarecrow contest awards ceremony, a Bon Odori dance, Kamosho Taiko drum performance, a fireworks display (scheduled from 20:30), a grand raffle, and food stall delicacies. Admission is free.
