3rd Asago Biennale 2026

About this event

The Asago Biennale is a public open-call art exhibition that alternates between two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) artworks every two years. For this 3rd edition, 2D artworks were accepted, and winning and selected works chosen through strict judging will be exhibited. The Asago Biennale is designed to be an appealing open competition with a particular focus on supporting young artists. The venue, Asago Art Forest Museum, is open from 10:00 to 17:00 (until 15:00 on the final day). Admission is 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for university and high school students, and 200 yen for middle and elementary school students; however, admission is free on Saturday, September 26, in conjunction with the Toyooka Theater Festival. The museum is closed on Wednesdays and the day after national holidays, but will be open on Wednesday, September 23 (National Holiday).
