The 'Fukusaki Autumn Festival,' a traditional autumn event held every year in Fukusaki Town, is an Ujigami festival praying for a bountiful harvest. At four shrines within the town, visitors can watch the dynamic clashing and parade of gorgeous futon yatai (cushion floats) and mikoshi yatai (portable shrine floats). In addition, events promoting presentations of cultural arts practices and revitalizing agriculture, commerce, and industry are held around the Fukusaki Town Cultural Center and Erde Hall. This festival embodies the very history in which festival floats have been passed down from ancient times, offering an opportunity to experience important cultural heritage left behind by ancestors. Along with the arrival of autumn, visitors can enjoy the vibrant festival atmosphere rooted in local tradition.
