Taishi Town 70th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony

Taishi Town will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its municipal organization on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Since the merger of Shinaga Village and Yamada Village on September 30, 1956, to mark this 70th milestone together with residents, reaffirm the rich nature, history, and culture inherited from predecessors as well as the bonds among people supporting the community, and promote town development toward the next era, the 70th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony and commemorative projects will be held. The commemorative ceremony is scheduled to feature brass band performances and chorus by local junior high and high school students, a screening of a commemorative video by student PR staff from Shitennoji University, the announcement of a new version of the town song and a new town charter, and citizen awards. Through this memorable ceremony, it will be an opportunity to look back on the history of Taishi Town and share hope for the future.
