About this event
Held in Kami Town, Hyogo Prefecture, the "Mount Sobu Autumn Foliage Hiking" is an event to climb Mount Sobu (elevation 1,074.4m) and enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage. A vibrant world of autumn colors unfolds, including Japanese rowan trees turning vivid shades of red and yellow. From the Umanose Observation Deck and Sobu Observation Deck, you can take in grand panoramas overlooking Mount Hyonosen and Mount Oginosen. The mountain trail is maintained by volunteers, forming a full-scale course with an elevation difference of 800m and a distance of approximately 11km. This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the scenic autumn vistas and mountain air on Mount Sobu, which was once climbed by famous mountaineers such as Naomi Uemura and Buntaro Kato.
