Japanese name:生駒山麓公園イベント 天体観測会「お月見✕お団子イベント」
📅 Sat, Sep 26, 2026
About this event
An event where visitors can fully enjoy traditional Otsukimi (moon viewing) and the autumn night sky will be held at Ikoma Sanroku Park. Participants can make dango (sweet dumplings) together by hand and experience "Otsukimi Dorobo" (Moon-Viewing Thieves), a local custom cherished for generations, allowing them to thoroughly experience the atmosphere of this traditional tradition. In addition, visitors will observe the beautiful moon and seasonal stars shining in the autumn night sky using a large telescope while listening to commentary from a certified "Starry Sky Guide". Easy-to-understand explanations make it enjoyable even for first-time stargazers and children. Fun stories related to the moon and seasonal stars will also be shared. In the event of rain or cloudy weather, traditional moon-viewing indoor programs and indoor astronomy programs will be held instead.
