Call for Entries: The 73rd Ikoma Civic Cultural Festival Junior Art Festa

About this event

This is a call for submissions for the Junior Art Festa at the 73rd Ikoma Civic Cultural Festival, targeting elementary and junior high school students living in or attending school in Ikoma City. The entry categories consist of literary works (tanka, haiku, senryu, poetry) and exhibition works (paintings, calligraphy). Literary works are submitted via a dedicated form and will all be published in the literary magazine "Awo". Exhibition works must conform to the specified sizes: quarter size (yotsugiri) drawing paper for the painting division, and eighth size (yatsugiri) gasenshi paper or kakizome hanshi paper for the calligraphy division. Painting submissions are limited to flat, two-dimensional works using watercolors or pastels without written characters. The theme is "Ikoma, a Town where Smiles Bloom", and the calligraphy division has set assignments for each grade level. Certificates and supplementary prizes will be awarded to outstanding works. The exhibition will be held at the Art Hall Miracle concurrently with the Civic Cultural Festival Exhibition (General Division). Starting this fiscal year, submitted works will not be returned.
