'Summer Kashiba Academy 2026' is an event where Kashiba residents act as one-day instructors teaching topics they love and excel at, fostering mutual learning among citizens. Structured around a school theme, diverse courses are offered across subjects including Japanese Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Home Economics, Science, Arts & Crafts, Physical Education, and Foreign Languages. In addition to the Central Public Hall and General Gymnasium, 'extracurricular classes' will also be held at venues such as Futakami Cultural Center and Netz Toyota Nara Kashiba Store this year. Featuring 39 unique courses for both children and adults, topics include beginner theater workshops, asset management seminars, global mindsets and behaviors, disaster prevention bracelet crafting, AI lectures, end-of-life planning notes, makeup basics, medicinal cooking (yakuzen), black tea brewing, walking classes, Pilates, belly dance, and ZUMBA. It offers an excellent opportunity to explore interests, discover new hobbies, or gain ideas for summer vacation independent research.
