Uda City in Nara Prefecture is one of Japan's leading producers of dahlia bulbs, and the event 'Uda Matsuyama Hanakoji 2026' will be held to decorate the historic streetscape with these dahlia flowers. In this event, dahlia flowers add a colorful accent to the historic townscape for a limited time, creating a collaboration between the beautiful streetscape and dahlia blossoms. The sight of vivid dahlias blooming amidst the dark, subdued tones of the historic townscape promotes the essence of Nara Prefecture while allowing visitors to enjoy an unusually vibrant town scenery. At the event, preliminary sketch creation will take place starting from the afternoon of the 16th, flower arrangement will begin around 10:00 on the morning of the 17th aiming for completion around 12:00. A light-up event will also take place from 18:00 to 21:00 on the 17th, offering an enchanting atmosphere. Additionally, taking flowers home is scheduled to open from 15:00 on Sunday, the 18th.
