1st Tawaramoto Charm Discovery Walk

About this event

This is a walking tour led by volunteer tourist guides of Tawaramoto Town, leisurely visiting streets normally passed without notice, as well as nearby shrines, temples, and historic sites. It offers an opportunity to rediscover the town's history and culture. For this first session, participants will depart from Tomopa! Tawaramoto and walk a course of about 3 km over approximately 2 hours, visiting spots such as Futsu Shrine, Koshin Pagoda, the former Konparu Residence site, Saisen-ji Temple, and Matsumoto-no-hama Beach. Participants can enjoy learning about the history and culture remaining in downtown Tawaramoto while listening to the guide's commentary. A total of 6 walks are scheduled for this fiscal year, allowing participants to discover the charms of Tawaramoto Town through different courses each time.
