Japanese name:第56回 靴下の市

📅 Sun, Nov 15, 2026 - Mon, Nov 16, 2026

📍 Koriyo, Nara

About this event

Koryo Town in Nara Prefecture boasts the largest domestic production volume of socks in Japan, and "The 56th Socks Market" will be held where local Koryo sock factories sell directly for two days only. This is an opportunity to buy high-quality, functional socks made in Koryo Town in bulk. Their comfort and high quality are so well-regarded that many customers return year after year. In addition to socks, the venue will feature Senshu towels, Yukimaru frying pans, items from the Hokkaido specialty fair, and popular Japanese and Western sweets from Hankyu Department Store. Notably, mobile food trucks where you can purchase popular ROYCE' products and Hankyu sweets will also appear. As a special event, a lottery wheel drawing will be held on Sunday the 16th, where shoppers spending 1,000 yen or more at each sock tent receive a raffle ticket (distributed on the 16th only, first 240 tickets per tent). On Saturday the 15th only, a hands-on event titled "Let's Make a Sock Animal!" is scheduled inside the Izumiya store. Food and beverage stalls serving coffee, hot dogs, tornado potatoes, candy apples, and baby castella will add to the lively atmosphere. HEP sandals and various umbrellas will also be sold. The vendor list includes representative Koryo sock manufacturers such as Showa Meriyasu Co., Ltd., Naco Co., Ltd., Inoue Corporation Co., Ltd., Sugita Socks Co., Ltd., Tokuo Sakaguchi Store, Santo Knit Co., Ltd., Hirokazu Yoshioka Socks, Ueda Co., Ltd., and Oya Store.
