The Tanabata event, held on the 7th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar, is conducted together with the All Souls Memorial Service. On Wednesday, August 19, the Tanabata Shinto ritual starts at 2:00 PM, and attendance requires prior application by phone. At 18:30, the lighting of memorial lanterns takes place, enveloping the shrine grounds in a mystical atmosphere. The following day, Thursday, August 20, morning worship begins at 6:50 AM, followed by the Great Goma Fire Ritual starting at 9:00 AM. This festival is a traditional event that combines making Tanabata wishes with performing memorial services for the departed.
