So that memories of the Great Kii Peninsula Flood (2011) do not fade and with wishes for recovery, "Sunflowers of Recovery" are grown by resident groups in Kumanogawa-cho, Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. The sunflowers, which usually reach their peak in September, bloom in full across the field like a powerful cheer for reconstruction, brightly illuminating the hearts of visitors. Before this special scenery where the beauty of nature and people's thoughts overlap, you can once again feel the steps toward recovery.
