Grand Harvest Festival in Kudoyama

Held annually in Kudoyama Town, the "Grand Harvest Festival in Kudoyama" is an event celebrating the harvest of Japan's top-rated Fuyu persimmons. At the venue, fresh produce carefully cultivated by local farmers is sold directly, centered around Kudoyama's specialty Fuyu persimmons. In addition, famous apples from the sister city of Ueda in Nagano Prefecture will also be on sale. Highlights of the event include a Fuyu persimmon peeling contest and a charity sale of prize-winning persimmons from the Fuyu Persimmon Competition. Furthermore, flea markets and food & beverage stalls will create a lively atmosphere. Stage events are also abundant, enlivening the venue with powerful martial arts performances by the Sanada Samurai Troupe, Japanese taiko drumming, and Yaccho dance performances. It is an autumn celebration filled with highlights.
