Lake Oketo Fly Fishing Workshop

A workshop to experience the charms of fly fishing will be held at Lake Oketo in Oketo Town, Hokkaido. Regardless of experience level, beginners and first-timers are warmly welcomed. Together with Japan Fly Fishers (JFF) members from across the country and Oketo Sports Fishing members, participants can enjoy the fun of fly fishing in the beautiful setting of Lake Oketo. The participation fee includes lunch and event insurance, with discounted rates available for elementary school students. A rich program is prepared, starting from a fly-tying workshop to hands-on fishing in the lake. Participants should bring a full set of fly fishing tackle, a hat, rain gear, boots, warm clothing, a change of clothes, sunglasses, insect repellent spray, etc. Rod rentals are also available.
