About this event
The Sakaiminato Citizens Music Festival is a highly participatory music event open to all citizens, where citizens and performers gather in one place to enjoy both performing and listening at the same time. From Saturday, September 5 to Sunday, September 27, 2026, it will be held across two venues: Sakaiminato Cultural Hall (Symphony Garden) and Sakaiminato Citizen Exchange Center (Minato Terrace). Performances across diverse genres can be enjoyed, including chorus, instrumental music, vocal music, brass band, pop/light music, and dance. On Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, chorus, instrumental music, and classical Japanese dance will be presented at Sakaiminato Cultural Hall; on Saturday, September 12, brass band, instrumental music, and ballet; and on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, pop/light music and dance will be performed at Sakaiminato Citizen Exchange Center. A 5-day all-access ticket is 500 yen (tax included), and free for high school students and younger. Tickets are on sale at Sakaiminato Cultural Hall and Sakaiminato Citizen Exchange Center. This music festival aims to promote locally rooted music culture and deepen exchanges among citizens.
