Special Public Opening of Important Cultural Property Mihonoseki Lighthouse

This is a special public opening of the Important Cultural Property Mihonoseki Lighthouse, the oldest stone lighthouse in the San'in region built in 1898 (Meiji 31). Visitors can tour interior facilities and equipment that are usually closed to the public, accompanied by explanations from a geo-guide. It is a valuable opportunity to learn in detail about the origin and history of the lighthouse. The "Lighthouse Buffet" cafe restaurant, which utilizes the former lighthouse keeper's quarters, is also open, allowing guests to enjoy spectacular scenic views and an exhibition of the original first-generation lens. No advance registration is required to participate.
