44th Yubetsu Town Industry Festival

Celebrating its 44th year, the 'Yubetsu Town Industry Festival' is a major autumn event in Yubetsu that attracts many visitors from both inside and outside the town. The event is packed with programs such as the traditional 'Okhotsk Human Scallop Pulling Contest' where people test their strength, the 'Salmon Catching Contest' for elementary school students, and the 'Yubetsu Sentai Sangyo Ranger Show' which is very popular with children. In addition, delicious local products from Yubetsu gather in one place, including bargain sales of fresh seafood and agricultural produce, and a corner offering 'Yubetsu Nabe (200 yen per bowl)' made with local specialties. Brass band and taiko drum performances by students will also be presented. *The salmon catching contest and seafood bargain sales may be subject to changes or cancellation depending on sea conditions and other factors.
