Held in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, the Shiba Inu no Sato Festival 2026 is an event celebrating the 96th birthday of Ishi-go, the ancestor of Shiba Inu dogs. Ishi-go was born in this land 96 years ago, and today it has become a place visited by many Shiba Inu as the 'Sacred Ground of Shiba Inu: Home of Ishi-go.' Following the opening, commemorative messages to Ishi-go from descendant Shiba Inu will be presented. In a talk show titled 'The Story of Ishi-go,' the reason why Ishi-go is called 'the dog of great fortune' will be revealed. In addition, there will be the 'My Shiba: This is What's Cute Contest' competing for pet dog charms, co-hosted events with I-Communication, and the live performance 'ISHI Fes.' At the venue, visitors can also enjoy Ishi-go gourmet food and Shiba Inu goods. When participating with your dog, please take full care of their physical condition and safety, and follow proper etiquette such as keeping dogs on leashes and cleaning up waste to enjoy the event.
