About this event
A walking event along the 'Ginzan Kaido' (Silver Road), where silver mined at Iwami Ginzan was transported to Onomichi during the Edo period. Tread the Ginzan Kaido located in Iinan Town and enjoy the former silver route with explanations from a guide. Course A is an approximately 4.5 km, 2-hour-and-30-minute walk through Akana Pass, designated as one of Japan's Top 100 Mountain Passes. Course B is an approximately 3-hour mountain trekking circuit around Mount Munagahirayama and Mount Kinukakeyama, visiting a sabo erosion control dam and the former site of Akana Ski Area. For both courses, please bring appropriate walking clothes, shoes, and drinks. In the event of an accident or injury, compensation is provided within the scope of the accident insurance taken out by the organizer. Scenes of the event may be published in public relations materials.
