There is no competition with anyone, nor any rush against time. You can encounter sweetfish fishing while spending relaxing time by the Gonokawa River. The fishing method uses "ayu lures," which are easy for beginners to start with. Caught sweetfish can be grilled over charcoal and tasted, and the waiting time enveloped in the aroma is also one of the pleasures. In addition, you can listen to stories about the river and sweetfish from members of the Egawa Fishery Cooperative, potentially leading to new discoveries. There are also opportunities to observe various ayu fishing techniques and get introduced to equipment, providing a starting point for those who want to continue fishing in the future. Fishing gear and life jackets are prepared by the organizer. You can also take home the sweetfish you caught.
