39th Niimi City Shingo Lakeside Marathon

About this event

Held in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, the "39th Niimi City Shingo Lakeside Marathon" is a marathon event running along the scenic dam lakeside with beautiful autumn foliage. The half marathon, 10km, and 5km races are courses certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF), allowing participants to enjoy full-scale racing. There are also 3km and family (1.5km) divisions, allowing a wide range of age groups to participate. Participants will receive participation prizes such as local specialty products and bathing discount coupons for Shingo Onsen. After the event, you can also soothe your fatigue at the hot spring. Anyone in good health is eligible to participate, with a guideline of finishing within 3 hours for the half marathon. Top finishers in each division will be awarded prizes, and a division for visually impaired runners is also established. Additionally, there is a chance to win a free invitation slot for the "Okayama Marathon 2027" by lottery.
