About this event

At Katsuyama Cultural Exchange Center Hishio in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, the 'Cats and Traditional Japanese Books Exhibition' will be held by 'Futatsu Button,' a husband-and-wife unit working in illustration, design, and hand bookbinding. Cat-themed illustrations and tasteful handmade books will be on display. During the exhibition period, a workshop to create Japanese stab-bound books using Kashinishi Washi paper will also be held. Participants can create four-hole bound notebooks or Goshuincho (stamp books) using original Japanese paper and cat stamps. In addition, 'Tails' Mini Ennichi (Festival Fair)' will be held as a related event, featuring night stalls and a cafe by the artists, original goods booths, a toy cat fishing pond, and omikuji fortunes. A cat mask art workshop can also be joined without advance registration. This event is highly recommended for cat lovers and those interested in handicrafts.
