Held in Nishiokoppe Village, Hokkaido, the "Muraokoshi Festival" is an event organized to revitalize the village, held every year on the last Sunday of August in the Forest Park. At the venue, various sales and exhibits will take place, and visitors can enjoy juice and yakisoba sold by local village shops, as well as special exhibitions. In addition, performances by famous singers and others will enliven the venue. In the past, a live stage performance by singer-songwriter Hanzaki was held to commemorate the village's 100th anniversary. The event is packed with activities enjoyable for both adults and children, including appearances by characters popular with kids and traditional lumberjack competitions. Health checkup corners and awareness campaigns will also be conducted. In case of rain, the venue may be changed to the indoor athletic field.
